Predict Health Lab is designed around that question. Digital infrastructure and predictive clinical capability are complementary. The proposal aims to build on the UAE’s existing capabilities through local biological data and clinical validation.

IT LEARNS FROM.
Artificial intelligence does not learn medicine in the abstract. It learns relationships from data generated by real populations. And populations are not biologically or environmentally identical.
These factors can influence biological trajectories and the way disease risk emerges. Models developed predominantly from populations elsewhere in the world therefore cannot simply be assumed to have identical calibration or performance in the Emirati population.
Global AI is powerful. Local validation makes it relevant.
IF PREDICTIVE MEDICINE IS TO SERVE THE UAE,
IT MUST LEARN FROM THE UAE.
NOT JUST A PLACE TO VALIDATE PREDICTIVE HEALTH.
AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SHAPE IT.
The programme proposes building predictive knowledge from the Emirati population, within the UAE healthcare environment, and evaluating whether that knowledge can support a new model of earlier, population-specific health intelligence.
Potential Phase I outputs / If successfully validated- A high-resolution local health dataset
- Predictive knowledge derived from the Emirati population
- An Explainable AI model calibrated with local data
- Clinical knowledge about early disease trajectories
- A potential pathway towards population-scale predictive health
None of these outcomes presupposes national deployment. They create evidence upon which the UAE can decide what should happen next.
